Register your neighborhood for National Night Out set for Oct. 6

The Kerrville Police Department is reminding residents to register their neighborhood for National Night Out, scheduled for October 6.  Members of the KPD team and the Kerrville Fire Department, along with members of Kerrville Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (KCPAAA) will also swing by during your event to meet you.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign meant to help foster strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to create safer communities.  Many neighborhoods schedule block parties and cookouts while also hosting visits from local police, firefighters and EMS.  While much of the country celebrates on the first Tuesday in August, Texas communities traditionally observe the event in October for cooler weather.
