The Kerr County Federal Credit Union provided its customers with a member service update following its disruption of online banking and debit card services.  Restoration efforts are ongoing, with priority being given to core banking systems for all affected credit unions before digital services are brought back online, according to Kerr County Federal Credit Union.

The Credit Union confirmed Thursday that its leadership team participated in another update with the core processing provider, and recovery efforts continue around the clock following a significant infrastructure failure affecting multiple credit unions.  This situation is not a data breach or security incident, and member information has not been compromised.

At this time, there is still no firm restoration timeline, although there is hope that service may be restored within the next 18-24 hours, according to a statement from the Credit Union.  Additionally:

~Accounts and member information remain secure.

~All branches remain open and are able to serve members using manual procedures.

~Assistance is being provided for members who have immediate financial needs.

~Direct deposits will be posted as soon as systems are restored.

~ACH payments and debits that were previously scheduled are expected to continue processing and be presented to merchants as scheduled.

Members who are expecting a deposit and need assistance should contact their local branch to discuss available options.
