44 animals seized in Kerrville animal cruelty case

Forty-four animals were seized from a Kerrville property following an animal cruelty case.  A court order issued September 29 involves dogs, chickens and roosters.  Court records say the animals had been cruelly treated and ordered that they be sold, adopted or transferred to an animal shelter or animal protection organization.

Kerrville Pets Alive! says it funded medical care for the animals and helped facilitate the rescue of 15 dogs involved in the case.  The owners were ordered to pay $4,172.62 in medical costs to Kerrville Pets Alive!.
