Boerne PD kicks off Blue Santa Toy Drive

The Boerne Police Department has officially kicked off its Blue Santa Program and is now accepting toy donations and applications for families in need.  The program is a collaboration which includes BPD, Boerne Fire Dept., Fair Oaks Ranch PD, Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, Hill Country Family Services, American Legion Post 313, VFW Post 688 and Boerne ISD and is intended to help bring joy to children who might otherwise go without on Christmas.

Families in need of assistance can stop by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office or Hill Country Family Services to complete an application.  The deadline to apply is Dec. 15.  It should be noted that in order to help as many families as possible, the program cannot fulfill requests made through multiple organizations.

Anyone wanting to help can donate new, unwrapped toys for boys and girls (infants through 17 years old) or gift cards from local businesses in Boerne and Comfort.  Donations can be dropped off at the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office (6 Staudt Street) or any additional drop-off location before Dec. 15th.  Donations can be dropped off at the following locations from now until Dec. 14th:
