The City of Kerrville reminds residents and businesses of regulations regarding solicitation, peddling, and commercial activities to ensure public safety and protect private property rights.

No person may solicit, peddle, or canvass at residences between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. unless explicit permission is posted by the property owner or authorized resident.  This restriction does not apply if the solicitor has been personally invited.

It is unlawful to engage in commercial activities – including selling, peddling, or soliciting – in city streets, street rights-of-way, or medians.  However, this restriction does not apply to sidewalks or non-traffic areas.

Individuals may not solicit, peddle, or canvass on private property where a clearly visible sign states “No Solicitors” or “No Trespassing” or something similar.  Property owners are encouraged to use signage to indicate their preferences.

These regulations are in place to maintain safety and respect property rights.  For more information, contact the Kerrville Police Department at (830) 257-8181.
