Countywide test set Saturday for CodeRED

A county-wide test of the CodeRED emergency notification system is planned for noon Saturday, Feb. 14.  The alert will state: “This is a test of the Kerr County CodeRED system.  If you receive this message, there is no further action required on your part.  This is a test.”

Those who expect, but do not receive a test message will need to re-register for CodeRED using the following link: https://account portal.onsolve.net/kerr county.

The CodeRED system recently experienced a lengthy outage caused by a security breach.  The service is restored, but anyone who registered after March 31, 2025, will need to go online and re-register for alerts, according to Kerr County Emergency Management Coordinator Dub Thomas.

Persons who had “managed accounts,” meaning they could log in and change alerts to receive, add or delete phone numbers or email addresses will need to go to the website and click the “Change Password” icon if they wish to keep a managed account.

Those who have never registered for CodeRED are encouraged to do so using the following link: https://account portal.onsolve.net/kerr county.
