Shortly after 10 p.m. on April 30, the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office responded to a local RV resort in the 2800 block of Goat Creek Road for the report of an assault.  Upon arrival, deputies determined that 44-year-old David Bryan Cox, Jr. had assaulted a juvenile at the residence and then fled on foot.  A witness reported Cox was armed with at least one firearm, a ballistic vest and a gun belt with multiple magazines.  He was last seen wearing white basketball shorts.

Deputies summoned Kerrville EMS to the scene to treat the juvenile, while additional deputies began an immediate search of the area.  Investigators from the KCSO Special Operations Division, as well as Criminal Investigations Division officers, responded to the area to assist.

Deputies were unable to locate the subject and are continuing their search.  Cox, according to authorities, has connections to both Mountain Home and Harper, Texas.

A warrant for Assault by Strangulation was issued by Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace, J.R. Hoyne.  This subject should be considered aremed and dangerous.  Anyone in this particular area should remain careful and aware of their surroundings.  Do not attempt to approach the subject and instead immediately call law enforcement.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of David Bryan Cox, Jr., is urged to contact the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office at 830-896-1133 or by calling 911.  If you have information and want to remain anonymous, contact Kerr County Crimes toppers at 830-896-8477.
