The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect on October 6, at approximately 11:15 a.m., following a multi-county vehicle pursuit. The Kimble County Sheriff’s Office alerted KCSO deputies of an armed robbery that occurred minutes earlier in Junction and provided a description of the suspect, who fled eastbound on Interstate 10 in a white semi-truck and trailer.
KCSO deputies found the suspect and truck traveling on eastbound IH-10 in Kerr County. Further investigation discovered the tractor trailer was stolen out of California. Deputies initiated a stop of the truck near mile marker 523. The driver initially pulled over before failing to respond to officer commands to exit the vehicle and resumed his attempt at escape on IH-10 toward Kendall County, according to a release.
Kendall County deputies successfully deployed spike strips, deflating the front tires of the truck, and the driver lost control of his vehicle near mile marker 537, eventually colliding into the Lockway Storage facility on the north side of Boerne. Following the crash, deputies recovered the cash drawer from the robbery, along with several clothing items consistent with the description given by Kimble County deputies.
The driver, 42-year-old Eric Lee Hudson, was arrested and booked into the Kerr County Jail on one count of Evading Arrest with a Vehicle, and one count of Theft=$30<$150k. Bond has not yet been set.
