KCSO makes fugitive, drug arrests

Investigators from the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Division (SOD) made fugitive and drug arrests on Dec. 1, after receiving information that a wanted subject, Eugene Washington Jr., 45, of Kerrville, was at an apartment complex in the 500 block of Sunflower in Comfort.  Kerr County SOD Investigators observed Washington leave the apartment complex and travel to a nearby gas station on U.S. Hwy. 87.  Deputies with the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office initiated contact and took Washington into custody for a warrant issued by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles.

Investigators from the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Division (SOD) received information on Dec. 3 regarding drug sales in Kerr County.  During the investigation, the KCSO Criminal Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle occupied by Joseph Paul Turnage, 39, of Center Point.  At the time of the stop, Turnage admitted to being in possession of methamphetamine hidden in a child’s toy.  KCSO investigators located approximately 19 grams of methamphetamine concealed in the toy, according to a press release.

Turnage was arrested and booked into the Kerr County Jail for Manufacture/Deliver of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1/1B>4<200G.  Bond was set at $75,000.

After conducting an investigation, the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office SOD obtained information that multiple occupants at a residence in the 500 block of Stone Leigh Road were in possession of methamphetamine.  After securing a warrant, the KCSO Special Response Team executed a warrant at the residence in which deputies confirmed that two individuals present were in possession of methamphetamine.

Travis Dale Burlew, 37, and Noel Dean Pursley, 53, both of Center Point, were arrested and booked into the Kerr County Jail for Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1/1B>=4G<200G.  Both individuals were found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bond for Pursely was set at $35,000.  Bond for Burlew was set for $45,000.
