The City of Kerrville municipal offices, the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library, the Parks and Recreation Department office located at Kerrville-Schreiner Park, Development Services and Municipal Court are closed Wednesday, February 1, due to weather conditions.

The city secretary’s office is closed Wednesday, but those individuals needing assistance can email City Secretary Shelley McElhannon at shelley.mcelhannon@kerrvilletx.gov.

Due to continued hazards resulting from inclement weather, Republic Services has suspended all normal garbage and recycling services for Wednesday, February 1 and hopes to resume collections Thursday, Feb. 2 on a one-day delayed regular schedule.  A decision regarding Thursday’s operations will be made Wednesday afternoon.

The Kerrville Police Department, Fire Dept., and Public Works will continue working around the clock to respond to emergencies.

Citizens are advised to not visit parks or trails due to slip and fall concerns in addition to the risk of falling tree limbs and trees.  Park amenities such as restrooms, water fountains and interactive fountains are closed.

A warming center is open through Feb. 2 at the Salvation Army, 855 Hays Street, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Residents with questions regarding their utility billing services, including bill pay and requests for new service, can visit www.kerrvilletx.gov. or email:  utility.billing@kerrvilletx.gov.

Everyone is reminded to take care of people, pets, plants and pipes, and check on your neighbors.
