UPDATE: 09/26/2021 — The Kerrville Police Department announced Saturday that they have made an arrest in the IHOP armed robbery case from Tuesday, September, 21.
Matthew Scott Eaglehouse, 29, was charged with two counts of Aggravated Robbery and was booked into the Kerr County Jail Saturday. Each count carries a $50,000 bond, according to the Kerrville Police Department.
The arrest came Saturday after an investigation conducted by the Kerrville Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division.
The Kerrville Police Department said in a press release Saturday that they wished to thank the Texas Department of Public Safety — Texas Rangers and the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in this investigation, as well as the citizens who provided information that proved valuable in this case.
Eaglehouse remains in the Kerr County Jail on two bonds totaling $100,000.
All suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
UPDATE: 09/21/2021 — The Kerrville Police Department released more photos of the Kerrville IHOP robbery suspect and vehicle Tuesday afternoon and an updated description.
White male, about 5’10” to 6’, about 200 lbs, wearing a maroon Ping brand Texas A&M quarter-zip pullover with white trim, a grey hoodie, sunglasses and mask, and dark pants. The shoes the suspect is wearing are athletic shoes that transition from a white or very light grey at the toe to very dark grey or black at the heel according to the Kerrville Police Department.
The suspect vehicle is a small silver hatchback. It may be a 2010 or similar year Toyota Prius. It appears the vehicle may be missing a hub cap on the front passenger wheel. This could be video distortion, but it appears dark and different from the rear tire/wheel.
KERRVILLE, Texas — The Kerrville Police Department is asking the public’s help to identify an armed robbery suspect after police say that the Kerrville IHOP was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday morning.
Police say that the suspect entered the Kerrville IHOP, located at 1429 Sidney Baker Street at approximately 9:43 Tuesday morning, and brandished a semi-automatic pistol at the clerk, demanding money.
“The robbery suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’10” to 6″ tall and approximately 200 lbs,” stated a press release from Kerrville Police Department Sergeant Jonathan Lamb. “He was wearing a great knit cap, sunglasses, a maroon Ping brand Texas A&M quarter zip pullover, gloves, dark pants, and white shoes.”
The suspect was then said to have fled in an unknown direction after the robbery with an undisclosed amount of money.
According to the Kerrville Police Department, no one was injured during the robbery.
