Municipal election packets available through Feb. 13

The candidate filing period for the City of Kerrville and the City of Ingram’s upcoming municipal elections is now underway.  Application packets are available at both cities’respective City Halls through the submission deadline, 5 p.m. on Friday, February 13.

In Kerrville, Places 3 and 4 council seats, as well as the mayor, are up for election.  Incumbents Mayor Joe Herring, Jr. and Place 3 Councilmember Kent McKinney have each filed for re-election.

In Ingram, Places 1 and 2, as well as the mayor’s seat will be on the upcoming May ballot.

The filing fee is $100, which may be waived by submitting 100 valid voter signatures.

Individuals with questions about eligibility requirements or the filing process can contact the City of Kerrville Secretary’s Office at 830-258-1117.  In Ingram, call 830-367-5115.
