More than 143,000 pounds of bologna have been recalled because the products contain undeclared types of meat, federal regulators said. Gaiser’s European Style Provisions Inc., a New Jersey-based food manufacturer, is recalling 143,416 pounds of ready-to-eat bologna after federal officials discovered multiple products contained undeclared types of meat, including pork, beef and chicken.
The recall, announced last week by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), affects items produced between March 20 and June 20, 2025. The issue was uncovered following a complaint submitted to the USDA Office of Inspector General’s hotline.
The recall is classified as Class III, meaning the health risk is considered low for consumers. However, individuals with dietary restrictions, religious concerns, or food allergies related to specific meats could be affected. For more information, visit www.usda.gov.
More than 60,000 packages of vitamins and prenatal supplements have been recalled over fears they’ll lead to an accidental death. The recall affects three supplements sold by California Gold Nutrition: the Daily Prenatal Multi, Ultamins Women’s Multivitamin and Ultimans Women’s 50+ Multivitamin.
The products contain iron, which means they must be sold in child-resistant packaging under federal law. The 60,000 items affected by the recall were sold in packaging that is not child-resistant, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The supplements were sold online by Amazon, Walmart and Target from January 2019 to April 2025. Anyone who bought the three types of California Gold Nutrition supplements is urged to keep the recalled items out of sight and reach of children. They should contact the manufacturer, iHerb, for a refund and information about how to dispose of the items, the recall notice said. To find out if you have an affected product, you will need to look at the vitamin bottle or packaging.
