Kerr County homeowners, business owners and agricultural operators who experienced loss or damages from the heavy rains on July 23 are asked to report it to the Texas Division of Emergency Management.  “So far, we’ve only had 42 entries into the online iSTAT (Individual State of Texas Assessment Tool),” said Kerr County Emergency Management Coordinator Dub Thomas.  “If you had damages and have not already reported them, we ask you to please do so as soon as possible,” Thomas added.

County officials say that getting reports in is vital because that information is used by TDEM and FEMA to determine whether or not Kerr County is eligible for individual assistance.  For those who choose to enter their information using TDEM’s online iSTAT survey tool, visit https://damage.tdem.texas.gov.  A QR code linking to the same site is also posted on the Kerr County website:  www.kerrcountytx.gov.

TDEM representatives will be in Kerr County on Friday, August 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the West Kerr County Courthouse Annex, 510 College Street in Ingram.  Those planning to visit are asked to bring photos of their damages, repair estimates, receipts (if damages have already been repaired) and any supporting documents.
