Kerr County area veterans are being urged to take an online class which will focus on Gulf War exposures to harmful materials and the possible related health problems veterans could be experiencing in subsequent years.  The class is scheduled for Thursday, May 16, from 12:30-2 p.m. and will be available to veterans virtually via a personal computer, smartphone or tablet.

“The class is being hosted over the internet through WebEx, an easy-to-access meeting platform,” said Jenna Sanchez, Kerr County Veterans Service Officer.  Content to be covered will inform veterans about potential hazardous materials they might have been exposed to, the effects of exposures on health, available resources to veterans and steps to manage symptoms.

Veterans who want to attend the class can view the class flyer at https://bit.ly/3UkRU6j for more information and the registration link.  Anyone who has trouble registering is asked to email NJWRIISCEDTEAM@va.gov with “Gulf War Class” in the subject line.  Presenters for the class will include Omowunmi Osinubi MD, MSc., MBA, FRCA, ABIHM, IFM-CP, and Edward C. Shadiack III, DO, MPH.
