Youth orchestra players join Symphony for season finale concert Feb. 27

Select members of the Hill Country Youth Orchestra will be joining Symphony of the Hills for part of its season finale concert “Bach, Beethoven, Boom!” on Thursday, February 27 at the Cailloux Theater, 910 Main, in Kerrville. The concert begins at 7 p.m. with a pre-concert wine reception for ticket holders starting at 6 p.m. Remaining available seats can be reserved directly online at caillouxperformingarts.com, or by calling (830) 896-9393.

The youth players will sit in for a side-by-side performance of Beethoven’s Egmont Overture. Other pieces on the program include: Bach – Violin Concerto in E Major; Phil Johnson, violin; Mahler – Symphony No. 1 “Titan” 1st movement; Tchaikovsky – 1812 Overture.

Dr. Eugene Dowdy is Conductor and Artistic Director of Symphony of the Hills. Patricia Lee serves as Executive Artistic Director of HCYO. For 30 years, HCYO has followed its mission of providing a quality music education program and orchestra performance experience for its students.
