Certain rice products are being voluntarily recalled due to an injury risk, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The rice products were sold at H-E-B, Target, Amazon and other retailers from August to September 2025.
Ben’s Original is pulling its Long Grain White, Whole Grain Brown and Long Grain and Wild Ready Rice products because they may contain small stones, which could pose a risk of injury to the oral or digestive tract if swallowed. The company stated that these stones are naturally occurring and originate from the rice farm where they were cultivated. No injuries have been reported.
If you have these products, do not eat them. Instead, contact Ben’s Original customer support line for a return, the FDA said. Their number is 1-800-548-6253 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CST from Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
The FDA announced the recall of a frozen vegetable product that was distributed nationwide. To date, no illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.
The FDA notes that the recalled frozen spinach was distributed nationwide in retail stores and through distributors. According to the FDA, the production of the recalled products has been suspended while the company continues to investigate the source of the problem. The FDA has expanded an existing recall for cinnamon that contains elevated lead levels. Ground cinnamon from HAETAE, Roshni, Durra and Wise Wife have joined a dozen other brands that “may be unsafe” to consume, according to alerts from the FDA.
Customers should throw away the products immediately, as consuming it could lead to elevated levels of lead in the blood, according to the FDA. The agency recommended all of the brands voluntarily recall their products, but has not yet been able to reach Haitai Inc., which produces the HAETAE-brand cinnamon. As of September, no “illnesses or adverse events have been reported” in connection with the spice.
