The Fredericksburg Food Pantry is currently seeking donations of food, funds and volunteers as it nears the winter season. Anyone interested in assisting the Pantry can drop off food donations on-site Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1-5 p.m. at 701 Mustang Street. The City of Kerrville's Wastewater Collections Department will be performing two days of smoke testing along Town Creek beginning September 25.  Operations on both days will run from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., and there are no road closures planned.  The testing will not affect the flow of traffic. Starting October 1, the City of Kerrville will begin charging a three-percent fee on all credit card transactions, which includes purchases that are completed in person, over the phone, or online.  This new fee is due to the rising costs associated with credit card transactions.
