Early Voting throughout the Texas Hill Country will continue through April 27. The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan civic organization, can assist voters with election information pertaining to their respective areas.
KERRVILLE: Kerrville is a home-rule city with a charter and a city council/manager form of government. Kerrville City Council appoints the city manager; oversees the city manager and the direction of the city; approves the city budget and the tax rate; sets salaries and benefits of city employees; passes ordinances and resolutions; appoints members to advisory boards.
Sample ballots and other information from the Kerr County Election Dept. are all posted online at: https://www.co.kerr.tx.us/elections. Early Voting is being conducted at one location, the Cailloux Theater, 910 Main Street, in Kerrville. Curbside voting is available.
*All candidates are elected WITHOUT party or partisan mark or designation, elected at large, and serve a two-year term.
FREDERICKSBURG: Fredericksburg is a home-rule city with a charter and a city council/manager form of government. The five-member legislative and governing body known as the City Council is composed of a mayor and four council members who are elected from the city at large. Council’s duties include appointing a city manager; overseeing the city manager and the direction of the city; approve the city budget and tax rate; set salaries and benefits of city employees; pass ordinances and resolutions; appoint members to advisory boards.
Those wanting to vote early should go to 202 West Austin Street, in Fredericksburg, Girl Scout Cabin.
INGRAM: Ingram is a general law city (Type A) with a city council/manager form of government. Its duties include appointing the city manager; overseeing the city manager and the direction of the city; approving the city budget and tax rate; setting salaries and benefits of city employees; passing ordinances and resolutions; appointing members to advisory boards.
The election is for three at-large positions on the Ingram City Council. The three candidates with the highest number of votes will be declared as elected.
Early Voting will be conducted at the Ingram ISD Business Building Board Room, 510 College Street, Ingram.
FAIR OAKS RANCH: Fair Oaks Ranch is a home-rule city with a charter and a city council/manager form of government. The six members of the city council are elected at-large in numbered positions, and each council member represents all residents within the city limits of Fair Oaks Ranch. Duties include appointing the city manager; overseeing the city manager and the direction of the city; approving the city budget and the tax rate; setting salaries and benefits of city employees; passing ordinances and resolutions; appointing members to advisory boards.
There are two locations for Early Voting: Kendall County Courthouse Annex, 221 Fawn Valley Drive, Boerne; Van Raub School House, 8776 Dietz Elkhorn road, Fair Oaks Ranch.
