Schreiner University announces additional school closures

Due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions, classes at Schreiner University will be virtual and campus will be closed on February 18. The University is requesting that all off-campus students and employees remain at home and refrain from coming to campus. Schreiner University will continue to monitor the local weather conditions and will advise if necessary regarding campus operations for Friday, February, February 19.

Republic Services announces temporary changes in garbage services and Kerr County Commissioners’ Court is rescheduled

The City of Kerrville's Public Works Department is announcing some important changes to solid waste services which will affect residents receiving services through the city's utility billing system. Republic Services will begin collection for garbage on Friday, February 19 for those residents who normally receive collection service on Thursdays. Due to continued widespread power outages, loss of water pressure, and hazardous road conditions throughout the Kerrville ISD community, along with the potential for additional inclement weather, Kerrville ISD will remain closed Thursday, February 18 and Friday, February 19. No remote learning will occur and Kerrville ISD will apply for missed school day emergency waivers from the Texas Education Agency for these days.
