The Fredericksburg Police Department, in collaboration with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and Methodist Hospital/Hill Country, will host a prescription drug take-back day on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gillespie County Law Enforcement Center, 1601 E. On April 22, at approximately 8 p.m., Kerr County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division and Kerrville EMS were dispatched to the 100 Block of Keagan Drive South, outside of Hunt, for the report of a shooting.  When deputies and Kerrville EMS arrived, 54-year-old Scott Bender was found deceased.
