A new "USDA Pilot Program" is being held at Fredericksburg Elementary School Campus, 1608 N. Adams St., as a drive-through option. Abbott signs bill regarding catalytic converter thefts

Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed a bill that creates new criminal offenses surrounding the theft of catalytic converters. Texas State Senator Carol Alvarado, D-Houston, filed Senate Bill 224 - known as the Deputy Darren Almendarez Act - which was designed to address the spike in catalytic converter thefts across the state. The 14th annual Hill Country Film Fest began Thursday and runs through Sunday, June 4, in Fredericksburg.
