Authorities release more details regarding Bexar County, Austin shooting spree

According to law enforcement authorities Thursday, the man accused of killing six people and injuring three others doesn't appear to have a connection to the Austin victims.  Austin Police identified the man as Shane James, 34, who is currently booked in the Travis County Jail.  James has been charged with capital murder of multiple people. Dates announced for annual trout restock in Louise Hays Park

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's A.E. Wood Fish Hatchery is providing two stockings of rainbow trout this winter, with its first release scheduled for Tuesday, December 19, with 1,200 rainbow trout.  An additional 1,200 trout will be released on Wednesday, January 17, both occurring in the Guadalupe River in Louise Hays Park.  The rainbow trout stocking is timed with winter water temperatures dropping below a level necessary for the […]

City of Kerrville set to release 2024 Solid Waste Calendars

The 2024 Residential Solid Waste Calendars will be mailed Friday, December 8 to all city residential customers who receive solid waste services through the City of Kerrville.  Calendars are being sent to the mailing address noted on each customer's utility account and will be color coded for simplified understanding of the collection schedule. KCSO arrests individual for murder

The Kerr County Sheriff's Department confirms that KCSO Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting in the 100 block of Hilltop Drive in Kerrville.  According to a press release, when deputies arrived on scene, a 61-year-old female, identified as Christy Burns, was found with a single gunshot wound to the chest. Kerrville Fire Department EMS transported Burns to Peterson Regional Medical Center where she was later pronounced deceased.  […]
