The Boerne Independent School District Board of Trustees has unanimously approved a Voter Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE) set for November 4, 2025.  The election will ask voters to consider a three-cent increase to the district's Maintenance and Operations tax rate, potentially generating an estimated $4.8 million annually for the district. Fredericksburg Music Academy orientation will be held on Tuesday, August 19 at 5:30 p.m.  The academy's after-school program for kindergarten through fifth-grade students is from 4-5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, starting from August 26 at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, 1800 Llano St., in Fredericksburg. The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department has announced that, effective today, the recreation hall and the 30 and 50-amp RV loops on the river side of Kerrville-Schreiner Park have reopened and are available for reservation.  However, due to severe infrastructure damage, river access remains unavailable.
