The Fredericksburg City Council and Gillespie County Commissioners Court set public hearings for the proposed increases in tax rates. The City will hold its hearing at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9 at the new City Hall East Campus. The county will have its hearing at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8 at the county courthouse, 101 W. Main St., in Fredericksburg.
Due to the extensive flood destruction from the July 4 floods, FEMA has granted a request from Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to extend the deadline to request flood assistance. The Gillespie County Commissioners Court set the dates and times for public hearings regarding the FY2025-2026 budget, tax rate and salaries of county officials Monday morning. The hearings will be held on Sept. 8 at 5:30 p.m. in the Commissioners' Court room at the county courthouse, 101 W. Main St., in Fredericksburg.
The City of Fredericksburg's Coach Tony Knopp Town Pool will close for the season Sunday, August 31. The Splashpad, located adjacent to Town Pool, will be open through Sunday, Sept. 28. The Splashpad is open six days a week, Tuesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., except for Sundays, which are noon to 5 p.m.
