The Kendall County Commissioners Court voted on Tuesday to reimpose a county-wide burn ban for the next two weeks while rescuers and search teams continue combing the area for survivors from the July 4th floods. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a temporary flight restriction for counties in the Texas Hill Country affected by recent flooding, according to a Thursday news release.  The restriction targets aircraft and drones from operating without permission. The Texas Workforce Commission is now accepting applications for Disaster Unemployment Assistance following the July 4th floods. President Trump's Disaster Declaration allows workers and self-employed individuals in Kerr County who can't work due to storm damage to apply for DUA benefits. Horse races, which were to have kicked off this weekend at Gillespie Downs, have been canceled due to wet conditions, according to organizers.  The next race weekend will be July 19-20 at the track at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds. Gillespie County officials have announced that the Fourth of July Fireworks Show has been delayed once again. The annual Fireworks Show hosted by the City of Fredericksburg was originally postponed until July 11, due to recent floods.It is now scheduled for 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 30 at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park, as city staff assist with ongoing flood recovery efforts.
