The City of Fredericksburg is kicking off its July 4th weekend beginning with the VFW Auxiliary's Kiddie Parade set for 8:30 a.m. this Friday, July 4, at Marktplatz.  The Fredericksburg Community Fourth of July Parade begins at 10 a.m. Friday along Main Street. City of Kerrville offices, library to close for July 4th holiday

The City of Kerrville municipal offices, the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library, and the city secretary's office will be closed Friday, July 4 in observance of the July 4th Independence Day holiday.  Anyone needing assistance can email City Secretary Shelley McElhannon at shelley.mcelhannon@kerrvilletx.gov. Kerrville man indicted on animal cruelty charges

A Kerrville man was indicted and found guilty by the 216th Judicial District Court of Kerr County of knowingly or recklessly torturing or in a cruel manner causing bodily injury to an animal, a federal offense.  Justin Blake Carrion, 29, of Kerrville, was released after paying on the $10,000 bond.
