The City of Kerrville wants to update the public on repairs being done to the Sh 16 Bridge repairs following the July 2026 flooding, which caused significant damage to TxDOT infrastructure along the Guadalupe River.  During the flood event, a large barge was carried downstream and struck the SH 16 bridge.  The impact damaged one of the bridge's exterior beams. Kerr County officials have announced the Burn Ban is in effect for all of Kerr County, beginning Wednesday, September 2, 2026.  The ban on open-flame, outdoor burning is in effect in Kerr County Precincts 1, 2, 3 and 4.
