Camp Mystic will have a partial reopening Summer 2026

Kerrville City Council approved raising property tax rate 8%

The Kerrville City Council approved raising the property tax rate by nearly 8% on Tuesday night.  City officials also approved the city's budget for the fiscal year 2026 on a second reading at Tuesday's meeting. Concert tickets benefitting flood victims in Hunt now on sale

A benefit concert for residents of Hunt recovering from the July 4 floods is slated for next month.  The "Hope for Hunt" concert will be held at Pure Country BBQ and Grill in Boerne on October 18.  Tickets for the event, which are limited to 1,500, are now on sale. Kerr County Commissioners’ receive updates for implementation of Kerr County flood warning system

Kerr County Commissioners Court met on Monday to discuss continued flood recovery efforts and other community items.  County Judge Rob Kelly stated that 1.3 million cubic yards of debris had been removed from the Guadalupe River, and crews were still working. Abbott signs SB 5 which includes money for siren systems

The State of Texas is now officially providing nearly $300,000 to help pay for disaster relief and flood warning sirens systems.  Governor Abbott signed SB 5 Thursday morning.  The bill includes $50 million for a program within the Governor's office to help cities and counties establish flood warning sirens and flood gauges along the Guadalupe River and other locations prone to flooding.
