Kerr County Animal Services has confirmed the county's seventh rabies case of the year after a skunk was reported dead in a Kerrville neighborhood.  According to KCAS Director Reagan Givens, a resident in the 800 block of Leland Street contacted the agency after discovering a skunk that had come into contact with their two dogs.  An animal control officer collected the remains, which were sent to a state zoological lab […]

Camp Mystic will partially reopen in Summer 2026, a year after catastrophic flooding killed 27 campers and counselors on the Fourth of July.  In a letter sent to parents this week, the Eastland family said Camp Mystic Cypress Lake will be open for the camp's 100th anniversary. The Kerrville City Council approved raising the property tax rate by nearly 8% on Tuesday night.  City officials also approved the city's budget for the fiscal year 2026 on a second reading at Tuesday's meeting.
