The City of Kerrville has once again made special arrangements with Santa Claus this year and is accepting Santa's letters for delivery to the North Pole!  Letters can be delivered to the city secretary's office, located in city hall.  Visitors are also encouraged to take pictures with the Christmas tree. Lt. Gov. Patrick announces SB3, which would ban THC sales

Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick announced on Wednesday Senate Bill 3, a proposed Texas bill that would ban the sale of all tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) products.  Patrick says the bill would close a loophole in the state's hemp laws and addresses concerns over potentially dangerous THC products marketed to minors. The City of Kerrville is currently conducting several surplus auctions on GovDeals, the leading online marketplace for government agencies to sell surplus assets.  The items currently posted for auction include several trucks, a Caterpillar backhoe, and other miscellaneous items.  Starting prices range from under $100 to over $5,000, and all postings will close on December 17-18, 2024. Kerrville-Schreiner Park set to close Dec. 7 for bow hunt

Kerrville-Schreiner Park is hosting the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's (TPWD) wildlife management bow hunt from December 7-22.  For safety reasons, the Hillside area of KSP will be closed to all traffic and park visitors during this time. Dates announced for trout restocking in Louise Hays Park

Once again, the Guadalupe River in Louise Hays Park, located at 202 Thompson Drive, will be stocked with rainbow trout.  The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) will conduct two stockings of rainbow trout, with the first release scheduled for Tuesday, December 17, followed by a second stocking on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.  Each stocking will include 1,200 rainbow trout. Scott Schreiner Golf Course improvement project begins Dec. 9
