Walmart recalls 12,000 containers of chicken broth

Walmart has recalled over 12,000 cartons of Great Value Family Size Chicken Broth due to packaging issues that could lead to spoilage, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).  The recall, initiated on December 11 and announced on the FDA's website on January 8, affects products sold in 242 stores across nine states:  Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahama, Tennessee and Texas. Second trout release set for Jan. 15 at Louise Hays Park

The second of two planned rainbow trout releases along the Guadalupe River in Louise Hays Park will occur on Wednesday, January 15 and will consist of another 1,200 rainbow trout.  The rainbow trout are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's A.E. Most Kerr County offices to close Jan. 20 for MLK holiday

Most county governmental offices will be closed on Monday, January 20, in keeping with the nationwide observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a federal holiday. KPD concludes Holiday Selective Traffic Enforcement Program

The Kerrville Police Department has concluded the Holiday Selective Traffic Enforcement Program, a grant funded enforcement initiative in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation.  The program, which ran from December 16, 2024 through January 1, 2025, aimed to deter unsafe driving and reduce accidents through the Christmas and New Year's holidays.  During this enforcement period, the Kerrville Police Dept. conducted 60 traffic stops, 42 of which were for speeding.
