The City of Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for employment at the Olympic Pool this summer. Applicants must be at least 15 years old and be able to work regularly from June through mid-August. Starting rate is $10 per hour for lifeguards. The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department would like to inform the public that the entrance at Lehmann-Monroe Park, 202 Park Lane, will be temporarily closed for construction. The closure will begin the morning of Thursday, January 14, with reopening expected the afternoon of Friday, January 15, although construction could take longer. On Monday, the Kerr County Commissioner's Court learned that there are currently 420 active cases of the novel coronavirus and the DSHS has confirmed three additional virus related deaths of Kerr County residents which brings the county's official COVID-19 death toll to 46.
