ERCOT issues Weather Watch for Wednesday

Portion of West Main Street in Kerrville temporarily closed beginning Monday

The City of Kerrville and its contractor, M&C Fonseca, will continue work on the Knapp Road sewer project beginning on Monday, May 13.  The contractor will be replacing a sewer line on West Main Street between Highway 27 and Powell Avenue for approximately two weeks and will require portions of West Main to be closed to through traffic. Alford appointed as new Kerr County Clerk

During a special session Monday, May 6, the Kerr County Commissioners' Court formally accepted the resignation of Kerr County Clerk Ian Collum and appointed Nadene Alford as the county's new county clerk.  Collum cited health reasons for the reason why he decided to resign,  Alford will serve through December 31, 2024. KCSO makes arrest following high speed motorcycle chase

Kerr County sheriff deputies arrested one individual following a high speed motorcycle chase which began in Gillespie County on Sunday, May 5.  A Gillespie County deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop after observing the motorcycle at a speed of 93 MPH.  The driver failed to yield to the stop and continued south on Highway 16 toward Kerr County. The Kerr County May 4, election results are in, with 4,551 of 16,954 (26.84%) registered voters casting their ballots. Joe Herring, Jr., has been elected as Kerrville's new mayor with 2,692 (59.43%) of the votes.  Roman Garcia received 1,838 (40.57%).
