Kerr County officials say at least 24 people are dead and more than 22 missing following the "catastrophic" July Fourth flooding with a massive search-and-rescue response still ongoing. Kendall County has issued an emergency declaration as weather forecasts show a continued chance of rain through Friday night. KPUB continues to respond to widespread power outages following ongoing severe weather, flooding, and road closures throughout the service area.  As of Friday afternoon, approximately 2,641 customers remain without power.  KPUB crews are working around the clock to restore power, prioritizing safety and accessibility. Kerrville Pets Alive! has set up stations and is offering resources to pet owners affected by the July 4th floods.  Crates have been taken to the Cavalry Church in Kerrville, the Ingram Elementary School, and the Ingram Volunteer Fire Department.
