The Gillespie County Commissioners Court set the dates and times for public hearings regarding the FY2025-2026 budget, tax rate and salaries of county officials Monday morning. The hearings will be held on Sept. 8 at 5:30 p.m. in the Commissioners' Court room at the county courthouse, 101 W. Main St., in Fredericksburg.

The City of Fredericksburg's Coach Tony Knopp Town Pool will close for the season Sunday, August 31. The Splashpad, located adjacent to Town Pool, will be open through Sunday, Sept. 28.  The Splashpad is open six days a week, Tuesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., except for Sundays, which are noon to 5 p.m.

The City of Kerrville Public Works Department has announced that trash collection trucks will run on Monday, Sept. 1.  There is no change to the trash collection schedule.
