The Fredericksburg City Council is holding a special budget meeting Wednesday, July 9 at 2 p.m.  The overview and discussion of the 2026 fiscal year budget will take place at the John William Klein Room, 115 N. The Center Point Volunteer Fire Department has unveiled its SAR Plan for Monday stating that, once again, experienced teams will be sent out for search, rescue and recovery.  However, they will begin shifting operations to include a more precise search using trained search dogs and horses as well as only experienced SAR responders.
