Two arrested for alleged human smuggling in Kerr County

The Kerr County Sheriff's Department made two arrests for suspicion of human smuggling after conducting traffic stops along Interstate 10.  According to a press release, the KCSO interdiction team members observed two vehicles on Thursday, September 29 that they believe may have been working together to transport ten migrants. Beginning Monday, September 26, the West Kerr County Courthouse Annex will be closed as it prepares to relocate to its new home at 510 College Street in Ingram. Burn ban lifted for Gillespie County

Gillespie County officials announced Wednesday that the county's burn ban has been lifted.  The county says that the recent moisture will allow landowners to "catch up on burn needs."
